How does it work?

BEFORE YOUR RENTAL:

• Making a reservation is optional but encouraged. (Especially on weekends or holidays). This can be done online, over the phone, or in person.
• When making a reservation ONLINE the online booking company charges a 6% booking fee that we do not receive. If you would like to bypass that please call us to book.
• Rental Payment is REQUIRED in full to make a reservation. (Please see cancellation policy.)
  • We require a “damage deposit hold” to be taken on the day of your rental. This is Charged and Held separately from the rental and returned to you upon the vehicles safe return.
• You must be 18 or older to rent. ID required

DURING YOUR RENTAL:

• Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled rental time.
• We will fill out waivers, take the damage deposit, copies of drivers license, and show you a safety video (8 minutes).
  • Damage Deposit (a hold taken per vehicle via card or cash that is returned to you once the vehicle is returned with no significant damage.) 
  • KRX = $1000
  • Teryx, Dune Rover, and R-Max = $750
  • ATV = $500
• After that is complete, you are able to pick out helmets if you would like. These are provided free of charge. ($100 if lost or unreturned).
• Our Bus Driver will take you from our facility via bus to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes ORV Park. (5 Minute ride)
• They will unload your vehicle(s) for you and make sure everyone is buckled in.
• If you rent a 4 seat vehicle (Teryx or KRX) the 20 minute instructional tour outside of your rental time is MANDATORY, this is for safety as the dunes move and change everyday.
  • Tours are offered to 2 seat vehicles when in the same group as a 4 seat vehicles or when extra dune guides are available.
• After your tour is completed or you are set up in your vehicle(s) we will give you a “return time” to meet us back in the parking lot where you started.
• We will then load on the bus and bring you back to Silver Lake Buggy Rentals Headquarters.
